The new “Coco & Donald Duck” Mickey’s PhilharMagic scene debuted today at Disneyland Paris and Disneyland Resort. To celebrate the first ever new musical sequence added to the show in almost twenty years Disney has shared a behind-the-scenes look into the production of the scene. By using the story line of Donald Duck chasing the hat throughout many different worlds and fan favourite movie scenes, the Disney imagineers and Pixar were able carry this story line into the world of Coco.

Disney and Pixar have created a brand new sequence using the original movie assets, animators, lighting designers and original composers. For the new sequence, the team choose the “Poco Loco” song but reimagined it on a grander scale with a full orchestra.
Walt Disney World guests will have to wait until later this year to see the new sequence as this will be released as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations.
