Reports are circulating on social media after most ropes and nooses were removed from the Phantom Manor attraction at Disneyland Paris. Phantom Manor is the parks version of the popular Haunted Mansion dark ride attraction which takes guests through the story of a haunting father who controls his daughters love life from beyond the grave. However, it now appears Walt Disney Imagineers are no longer happy with how dark some aspects of the attraction are and have removed the ropes as one of many sensitivity updates coming to the attractions at Disney parks around the world.
Phantom Manor Updates
Upon checking these reports we have seen that nearly all ropes and nooses have been removed from the attraction, including the famous end scene when a noose hung over the coffin next to the Phantom. However, at this moment in time the noose in the stretching room preshow is still in place.
