Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade Tips & Character Guide

Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade Tips & Character Guide

Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade is the first parade at Disneyland Paris since the Parks reopened earlier this year. The festive parade officially started on the 13th November, 2021, and is performed during the day and at night with multiple show stops.

To make sure you get the most from your visit to Disneyland Paris and get see your favourite character up close we’ve put together this handy guide to show you which characters are on each float, the parade route as well as our tips on the best place to stand and more…

Character Floats

The parade consists of 5 floats, 38 characters and multiple blocks of dancers.

After the first block of dancers, the first float you’ll see features 4 Characters, Mickey Mouse (front), Pluto (left), Stitch (left) and Pinocchio (back). This is the only float where you may not see all of the characters. Due to Plutos location if you stand in the Pass Holder viewing area or on the opposite side of the street you may miss him. A gap in the float design allows for Stitch to see both sides.

The next section of Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade features all the characters and dancers on foot. In this section you’ll see the Three Little Pigs, Clarice, Chip ‘n Dale, Clarabelle and Horace.

The second float is Minnie Mouses Sweet Christmas Tree Float. This float is dedicated to Minnie Mouse (front) and features two gingerbread men at the back.

You then get to see another section of incredible Disney Dancers with Max and Goofy leading the way.

The third float is dedicated to the Ducks and features the most characters on a single float. You can see Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Scrooge McDuck at the front of the float, whilst Huey, Dewey, and Louie and waving from the back.

The next section of the parade is dedicated to Disney Princesses. Within this Parade you’ll be able to see 8 Disney Princesses. Tiana, Rapunzel, Ariel and Jasmine are on foot with more Disney dancers, this is followed by the Royal Princess Float, which features Cinderella and Snow White at the front whilst Belle and Aurora are at the back.

The next section of Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade features even more Disney dancers and our favourite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood. You’ll find Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore dancing along.

To end the parade, we get to see Santa and his magical float, as it goes past Tinker Bell is sat at the back sprinkling plenty of Pixie Dust!

Parade Route & Stops

Key Points

  • Floats split when joining the central hub
  • Characters Swap locations on show stops

Mickeys Dazzling Christmas Parade takes the usual parade route through Fantasyland and up Main Street USA, and features two stops, at the central hub in front of the Castle and on the Town Square (the top of Main Street by the Christmas Tree).

It’s important to note that the floats split into two section as they enter the central hub. Mickeys, Donalds and Santa Float turn right into the hub, whilst Minnie and the Princess Float turn left. This means if you stand at the entrance of Frontierland you will NOT see the princess float or Minnies Float as part of the parade.

First Show Stop: Central Hub

The first show stop sees characters dance on the 4 mini stages and around the central hub. Its important to say that the Characters will mostly face into the center of the hub.

  • Stage 1: Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Max
  • Stage 2: Disney Princesses, Tiana, Ariel, Rapunzel and Jasmine
  • Stage 3: Minnie Mouse, Clarice, Clarabelle and Horace
  • Stage 4: Mickey Mouse, Stitch, 3 Little Pigs

  • F2 – Minnie Float
  • F3 – Donald Float
  • F4 – Princess Float
  • F5 – Santa Float

Second Show Stop: Town Square Christmas Tree

In our opinion, the second show stop is the best location for the nighttime version of the parade, as this involves turning on the Christmas Tree Lights before we get a small dance show. As part of this show we get to see the Christmas tree colours taken over by multiple Disney Characters as well as a Magic touch from Mickey Mouse and Santa!

As part of this show stop some characters swap locations, for example the walking Princesses will swap location with the Princesses on the float, and Clarabelle and Horace will go onto the Minnie Mouse float.

  • Section 1: Mickey Mouse,
  • Section 2: Minnie Mouse and Clarice
  • Section 3: Donald Duck and Daisy Duck
  • Section 4: Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Aurora
  • Section 5: Winnie Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore

  • F1 – Mickey Float – Pluto
  • F2 – Minnie Float – Clarabelle and Horace
  • F3 – Donald Float – Goofy & Max
  • F4 – Princess Float – Tiana, Ariel, Rapunzel and Jasmine
  • F5 – Santa Float – Tinker Bell

Annual Pass Holder Viewing Area

Advantages

  • Location is to the left of the Castle Stage
  • More standing space due to booking system
  • Guests only at one side, so character interactions more likely

Disadvantages

  • Unable to see some characters due to float design
  • Unable to see any show stop
  • Booking required

The Annual Pass Viewing Area is located just to the left hand side of the castle stage. To access this area you need to be an annual pass holder and pre-book your space in this viewing area. We booked into this area for the nighttime showing and found this area provided you with more personal space compared to other busier areas along the parade route.
