Following days of Cast Member protests which has seen multiple shows, character meets and parades cancelled, last night the entrance of Sleeping Beauty Castle was blocked causing the night-time entertainment to be cancelled at Disneyland Paris.
Disney D-Light and Disney Dreams Cancelled
Sleeping Beauty Castle and parts of Fantasyland are closed before any firework and drone show at Disneyland Paris due to safety reasons. As protesters blocked the entrance, Disney were unable to lower the screens and block off the areas and perform the night-time shows.
Throughout the protests, guests have been very supportive to the Cast Members and many videos have been shared showing guests cheering and clapping the Cast as they protest. However, for the first time during the protests we heard guests ‘booing’ the cast members after the cancellation of last nights viewing of Disney D-Light Disney Dreams!
The lights of Sleeping Beauty Castle remained out throughout the evening and it appeared that Disneyland Paris had also closed City Hall – the hub of Guest Relations.
