Do Disneyland Paris guests need to prepare for more Cast Member Strikes on the 30th May?

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen the late cancellation of shows, parades, character meet and greets, and a Cast Member protest on Main Street USA at Disneyland Paris. With the ongoing strikes, guests have been asking many questions about the possibility of further strikes and disruptions at Disneyland Paris.

Today, a press release has been shared outlining the possibility of further Cast Members strikes taking place on the Tuesday 30th May.

No details have been released on which areas disruptions may occur, but previously we have seen them affect

  • Dream… and Shine Brighter
  • Disney Stars on Parade
  • Mickey and the Magician
  • Rhythm of the Pride Lands (Lion King Show)
  • Character Meet & Greet locations such as the Princess Pavillion
  • Character Dining within Plaza Gardens

Strike Action not yet confirmed!

This strike action is yet to be confirmed, and there is still time for a resolution.

Cast Members have been trying to resolve the issues for many months, and are really upset it has come to this action. They love their jobs and their job is “to make us dream” and bring the magic of the parks to life everyday! We have so much respect for them, and we hope you follow our footsteps in supporting the Cast Members!

MIA Movement Press Release RE: DLP Cast Member Strike

The following ‘Press Release’ has been shared across multiple social channels and accounts.

Translated to English

Press release from the employees of the M.A.I movement regarding the strikes currently affecting Disneyland Paris.

“To the attention of our dear guests: Due to a strike movement which promises to be very popular with Disneyland Paris employees on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.

We ask you as much as possible to anticipate any disruptions. We know how sacrificing coming to your favorite park is for many of you, unfortunately the management made the deliberate choice not to hear from us for months.

So that the magic is preserved for as many people as possible: please, if you can, plan to postpone your visit. If this is not possible, please be indulgent if certain shows or attractions are temporarily closed or postponed.

It’s really reluctantly that we come to this, our job is to make you dream. Thank you for your understanding and sorry again for the inconvenience caused.

To be distributed widely.

Employees.”
