Disneyland Paris Pride and Electroland Events are Cancelled for Summer 2021

The COVID pandemic forced changes and closures on every Disney Park around the world, with Disneyland Paris being one of the most affected. Following the recent news of the extended closure of Disneyland Paris, today Disneyland Paris announced the cancellation of two further events in 2021, Disneyland Paris Pride and Disneyland Paris Electroland. It appears this could be the first of many event cancellations that will be announced for Disney’s European theme park.

Due to COVID-19 the Disneyland Paris Pride celebration 2020 was re-scheduled for June 12, 2021 to coincide with other pride events around the world. However, todays news confirms this date has now also been cancelled, and no new date has been provided.

Disneyland Paris previously held a Pride celebration in 2019. Originally called the Magical Pride Party, the Pride party is the official LGBT pride celebration held annually at Disneyland Paris. The Magical Pride: Celebrating Diversity, the first ever Pride event at Disneyland Paris, was was held at the Walt Disney Studios Park on June 1, 2019.

As part of the party, guests had access to select attractions, exclusive Disney Character Meet and Greets, themed photo locations, as well as a new Disney Parade “the Magical March of Diversity Parade”. The headline of the event was the live music, with performances from Boy George, Olly Alexander (Years & Years lead singer), as well as acts with significant LGBTQ fanbase such as Corine and Sindykatz.

The “Disneyland Paris Pride: A Magical Celebration of Diversity” was the second party planned for 2020, the first Pride Party in front of the Castle. However, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic this was re-scheduled for June 12th 2021.

Disneyland Paris Electroland 2021 is the second event cancelled in todays announcement. Similar to the Pride Celebration, the 2020 event was also rescheduled for the weekend of July 2nd-4th, 2021. It now appears this will also not take place at Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Paris Electroland is an electronic music festival that takes place within the Walt Disney Studios®Park. Since 2017, the festival style atmosphere takes over the park for two spectacular days. The event features performance from world-renowned DJs. Previous headliners have included Richard Orlinski, Michael Calfan, NERVO, Steve Aoki, Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Robin Schulz, Bob Sinclar, Armin van Buuren, Alesso and many more!

The event transforms the iconic Tower of Terror attraction, with huge sound systems and an incredible light-show. Electroland offers a unique opportunity to party in a totally unique setting.
