As part of Pride Month, Disneyland Paris have released 12 images to allow us to get to know more about their Disney Pride Network. The diverse teams at Disneyland Paris is their engine of creativity, and helps them to create magical experiences for all who come to this happy place. To make sure Disneyland Paris is a more inclusive resort, they continue to listen, learn and bring together Cast Members from all backgrounds to provide the support, inspiration and communication with the community around them. One of the major ways they do this is through the Business Employee Resource Groups (BERG) network.
Disney PRIDE BERG
Created by Disneyland Paris President Natacha Rafalski and Deputy Chief Counsel Gilles Dobelle, and launched in 2020, the Disney PRIDE BERG joins 11 Cast Members from all levels and divisions of Disneyland Paris, and is tasked to raising awareness of LGBTQ+ topics. One of the major ways this is achieved is via events with have a foundation of inclusion, and they have already helped raise aware of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia in January as Disneyland Paris first ever ‘Allies for Diversity Week’.
This network of Cast Members has also worked closely with Disneyland Paris in the organisation of Pride Month, and were a key part in the Pride anthem which encourages guests to join Disney Characters in a virtual dance, and will also be part of the exclusive day-long Cast conference on LGBTQ+ topics later this month.
Disney PRIDE BERG is just one section of the Diversity and Inclusion efforts at Disneyland Paris, and in celebration of Pride Month, they have introduced us to each of the Cast Members who have contributed their unique skills and perspectives within this effort.
