As the release of the Little Mermaid gets closer, Disneyland Paris are preparing to make changes to Ariel within the park. Recently we saw casting calls for actresses to portray Halle Bailey’s version of Ariel, and we’ve been keen to see if Disneyland Paris would follow.
Live Action Ariel Coming to Disneyland Paris
We are looking for candidates with a resemblance to the character of ARIEL LIVE-ACTION.
ARIEL: A curious and daring mermaid princess, Ariel is fascinated by the human world. Whether on land or under the sea, she is eager to connect her two worlds, knowing that they are not so different after all. Ariel appears in the upcoming live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid as depicted.
A casting call for Disneyland Paris, is currently live to “portray the character of Ariel live-action” for Character & Parade. From this role, we assume this would see Ariel as a meet and greet character within the parks as well as being visible within the parades.
One key part of the call states that actresses must be available from mid-May to end June, 2023. This could mean her presence may be only be limited, such as the recent visits by the Mandalorian, and don’t appear to be permanent.
This raises a lot of questions for Disney fans. Will both ‘versions’ of Ariel be represented within the parks at the same time, or will meet and greets return to the classic animation version of Ariel after these dates?
