Over 500 Cast members are currently preparing for the opening of Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel on June 21st. After months of refurbishments, and delays due to COVID-19, guests will finally be able to step inside the hotel in less than a few weeks. To make sure we all have the best experience possible, Cast Members are currently involved in an innovated, interactive and immersive training program called “A Day at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.”
These innovative day sessions are created by Disneys in house training team, Walt Disney Imagineering and the Marvel team. Throughout the day Cast Members are split into teams and learn about the hotel by solving puzzles, similar to the principles of an escape game. This helps them to know how the basics such as how to explain the concept of the hotel as well as knowing the layout of the hotel. In addition to this, Cast Members are also learning more about our favourite Marvel Super Heroes and the artwork displayed within the hotel, including the artistic style.
Once they have completed “A Day at Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel” they are taken on a guided tour of the hotel and take a more in-depth look at popular areas such as the Artwork on Display, Super Hero Station and the Marvel Design Studio. In total, more than 10,000 hours of digital, face to face and on site training will be given to the Art of Marvel Cast Members
